1.Who we are
Webernizer is a service that modernizes existing websites using AI and delivers the redesigned result as a preview and a downloadable bundle. It is operated by the Webernizer team ("Webernizer", "we", "us"), which acts as the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
2.Data we collect

3.Sign-in with Google & GitHub
You can create an account using Google or GitHub. When you do, we receive only your basic profile information: your name, email address and profile picture. We do not request access to your files, contacts, repositories, or any other content held by those providers, and we never post on your behalf.
Webernizer's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as needed to operate the service as described in this policy.
4.How we use your data
- To provide the service — creating your account, analyzing the website you submit, generating and storing the modernized design, and making it available to you (contract performance).
- To keep the service secure — detecting abuse, brute-force attempts and misuse of the platform (legitimate interest).
- To process payments — managing subscriptions and credits through our payment provider (contract performance, legal obligations).
- To communicate with you — service messages about your account or generated designs. We do not send marketing email without your consent.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your data to train AI models.
5.AI processing of website content
Modernizing a website requires sending the publicly available content of the site you submit (its text, structure and styling) to third-party AI providers — currently Google (Gemini), Anthropic (Claude) and/or OpenAI — which generate the redesigned output. What we send is the content of the website itself, not your account data. These providers process the content to produce a response and are contractually restricted from using API data to train their models under their respective API terms.

We share data only with providers that help us run Webernizer, under agreements that limit their use of it:

7.Cookies
We use essential cookies only: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and a security token that protects forms against forgery. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Because these cookies are strictly necessary, the site works without a cookie consent banner.
8.Data retention
- Account data — kept while your account is active, deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
- Generated designs and submitted site content — kept so you can access your previous work; deleted when you delete the design or your account.
- Logs — kept up to 12 months for security and troubleshooting.
- Billing records — kept as long as tax and commercial law require.
9.International transfers
Our servers are in the EU (Germany). Some providers listed above process data in the United States or globally. Where personal data crosses a border, the transfer relies on a recognised legal basis under each applicable regime — an adequacy decision where one exists, and otherwise appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
10.Your rights
Under the data protection laws that apply to Webernizer and to you — including the GDPR and the KVKK — you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy in a portable format, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these, contact us at the address below; we respond within the time limits the applicable law sets. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
11.Security
All traffic is encrypted with TLS. Passwords are stored hashed, access to production data is restricted, sign-in is protected against brute-force attempts, and generated files are isolated per account. No system is perfectly secure, but we design for failure to be contained.
12.Children
Webernizer is a business tool and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
13.Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the effective date above, and for material changes we notify you by email or an in-app notice before they take effect.
